For if the holy Gospel speaks about a certain glory given to him from the Father (Jn 17:5), it is clear that the man received it through the Word. For when, according to the holy apostle, he became a “mediator of God and men” (1 Tim 2:5), he glorified godly men with the glory given to him from the Father.
