Then he says, “In the beginning, before the earth was made” (Pro 8:23). What is this “earth” other than our flesh, which again became earth after the Fall? For he says, “You are earth and you will return to earth” (Gen 3:19). This earth needed healing in order to participate in any way with the holy Word.
