Therefore even if this new mystery was especially brought to light in these last times (Heb 1:2, 1 Pet 1:20), yet because it was foreordained before the age, the prophet rightly says, “Before the age he laid my foundation” (Pro 8:23), that is, the things of the flesh, on account of its participation with his true son, the Word.
