But if anyone should say that the human flesh of the Word is worthy because he has made it immortal through the resurrection, let him know that not everything which is immortal is worthy of God. For God, who by his own will can make things which do not exist immortal, is greater than immortality itself. That not everything which is immortal is worthy of being united with God is clear from the fact that rulers and authorities and angels are immortal but do not belong to the unity of God.
