Fragment 3: So he says, “Sit at my right hand” (Ps 110:1), as to a man. For after his rising from the earth it was said not to the one who always sits on the throne of glory inasmuch as he is God the Word. But it was to the one who is now exalted to the heavenly glory inasmuch as he is a man, as the apostles say, “For David did not rise into heaven, but he himself says, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand”’” (Acts 2:34). The ordinance is a human one, giving a beginning to the sitting, but the worthiness of sitting with God, whom thousands of thousands serve and ten thousands of ten thousands worship (Dan 7:10), is a divine one.
Fragment 4: For he does not subject the enemies to him as God but as man so that the same one may be seen as both God and man. Because “until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet” (Ps 110:1) is said as to a man. Paul teaches that his virtue is his own, speaking clearly according to the divinity, “according to the energy by which he is also able to subject all things to himself” (Phil 3:21). He sees undividedly in the one person deity and humanity.
Fragment 5: “Glorify me, Father, beside you with the glory which I had beside you before the world existed” (Jn 17:5). For he says “glorify” as a man but as God he discloses he “had glory before the age.”
Fragment 6: But let us not become lowly, considering lowly the worship of the Son of God even after the human likeness, but let us instead glorify him with kingly glory as some king even after he appeared in a cheap garment and let us especially see that the clothing itself has also been glorified—as was fitting for the body of God and the Savior of the world and the seed of eternal life and the vehicle of divine energies and the antidote to every wickedness and the destruction of death and the originator of the resurrection. For if he had his nature from people but his life from God and his power from heaven and divine excellence, . . .
Fragment 7: Because of this we worship the body as we worship the Word. We share in the body as we share in the spirit.
Fragment 8: So here he makes clear that the same man who was raised from the dead rules as God over all creation.
