Now John, the holy Apostle and disciple of the Lord, recounted his eternity and became a true witness of the Word, saying, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (Jn 1:1) He recalled here nothing about the birth of the Word but using three testimonies, one after the other, he confirmed that the Word existed in the beginning.
