Now what is the main point of “before the springs of water came forth” (Pro 8:24)? It says they are the holy apostles. The words of Exodus settle this mystery for us by long ago foretelling the types of the apostles, for the twelve springs (15:27) call to mind the apostles, who were twelve in number.
