And he rightly calls our Lord and Savior, “the beginning of ways” (Pro 8:22) because he became the beginning also of the other ways which we have had. signifying what was handed down through the holy apostles proclaimed to us this new mystery “with a most exalted proclamation” (Pro 9:3).
