Note Schepss had identified the tractates as being written by a single writer, namely Priscillian, in the CSEL and they are likewise indicated as being written by Priscillian in the CPL. However, the authorship has not gone undisputed, though critics agree that the anonymous document is certainly Priscillianist. (see Henry Chadwick, Priscillian of Avila: The Occult and the Charismatic in the Early Church (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1976), 63-4)
